The analysis of the relations between the European Union and the Republic of Belarus in 1992-2016: problems and perspectives

W niniejszej pracy została zbadana historia stosunków pomiędzy Republiką Białoruś a Unią Europejską w celu wyjaśnienia głównych problemów oraz próby nakreślenia dalszych perspektyw rozwoju i współpracy. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Rozdział pierwszy pozwala zrozumieć obecną sytuację polityczą na Białorusi i zidentyfikować przyczyny powstania trudności w stosunkach białorusko-unijnych. W rozdziale drugim zostały opisane w ujęciu historycznym główne wydarzenia, które miały miejsce w relacjach dwustronnych w latach 1992-2016. W rozdziale trzecim zostały podane propozycje reform systemu politycznego Białorusi oraz określone perspektywy stosunków z Unią Europejską.

This paper aims to analyze the relations between the European Union and the Republic of Belarus, more specifically problems will be clarified and future perspectives delineated. The work consists of three chapters. The first one allows to understand the current political situation in Belarus and identifies reasons of emergence of difficulties in bilateral relations. The second chapter describes chronologically the main historical and political events which took place from 1992 to 2016. The third chapter contains proposals of Belarusian political system’s reforms and determination of perspectives of cooperation with the European Union.
