Care of a gynecological patient during the diagnosis of secondary infertility - case study.

Wstęp: Niepłodność to rosnący problem w społeczeństwie, który wpływa negatywnie na miliony ludzi na całym świecie. Rodzicielstwo i posiadanie dziecka jest dla wielu osób ważnym elementem życia. Rozwój medycyny sprawił, że diagnostyka i leczenie niepłodności daje pozytywny skutek, owocujący w poczęcie dziecka.Cel pracy: Celem pracy było przedstawienie opisu przypadku 29-letniej pacjentki z niepłodnością wtórną. Na podstawie zgromadzonych danych o pacjentce sformułowano diagnozy pielęgniarskie i zaplanowano opiekę oraz poddano ocenie efekty zaplanowanych interwencji. Dodatkowo celem pracy było przedstawienie aktualnej wiedzy medycznej w zakresie niepłodności.Materiał i metody: Badaniem została objęta 29-letnia pacjentka hospitalizowana w Szpitalu Uniwersyteckim w Krakowie, w trakcie diagnostyki niepłodności wtórnej. Zastosowano metodę studium indywidualnego przypadku. Wyniki: W trakcie hospitalizacji pacjentki sformułowano 14 diagnoz pielęgniarskich, które umożliwiły zastosowanie modelu opieki holistycznej. Główne problemy, które wystąpiły podczas opieki dotyczyły ryzyka wystąpienia powikłań okołooperacyjnych.Wnioski: Niepłodność jest coraz powszechniejszym problemem. Wpływa ona na wiele aspektów życia zarówno medycznych, społecznych, jak i psychologicznych. W diagnostyce i leczeniu wymagane jest interdyscyplinarne podejście całego zespołu terapeutycznego.

Introduction: Infertility is a growing problem in a society that negatively affects millions of people around the world. Parenthood and having a child is an important element of life for many people. The development of medicine has made the diagnosis and treatment of infertility much easier, resulting in the successful conception of a child.Objective: The aim of the study was to present a case report of a 29-year old female patient with secondary infertility. Based on the collected data about the patient, nursing diagnoses were formulated, care was planned and the effects of the planned interventions were assessed. Additionally, the aim of the study was to present current medical knowledge in the field of infertility.Material and methods: The study involved a 29-year old female patient hospitalized at the University Hospital in Cracow, undergoing diagnosis of secondary infertility. The individual case study method was used.Results: During the patient’s hospitalization, 14 nursing diagnoses were formulated, which enabled the use of a holistic care model. The main concerns that occurred during care were the risks of perioperative complications.Conclusions: Infertility is an increasingly common problem. It affects many aspects of life, both medical, social and psychological. An interdisciplinary approach of the entire therapeutic team is required in diagnosis and treatment.
