The attitude of Belarus and it's citizens towards the EU and European Integration. The analisys of the problem based on personal research

Tematem owej pracy jest analiza rozwoju relacji Białorusi i UE od momentu uzyskania przez Białoruś niepodległości do naszych dni. Poza tym za pomocą własnych badań empirycznych przedstawiony został stosunek obywateli Białorusi do Unii Europejskiej, a również do potencjalnego procesu integracji europejskiej. Ów problem jest obecnie bardzo aktualny z powodu ciągłego dynamicznego rozwoju procesu integracji europejskiej oraz posiadania wspólnej granicy między Białorusią a UE. Priorytetowym celem owej pracy było poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na kilka zasadniczych pytań, odnoszących się do poziomu wiedzy obywateli Białorusi o UE, ich stosunku do niej oraz do hipotetycznej potencjalnej integracji Białorusi z UE.Rozdział I zawiera w sobie opis sytuacji Białorusi i jej miejsca na międzynarodowej arenie politycznej po 1991 roku. Przedstawia podstawowe dane o Białorusi, jej ekonomiczną i społeczną strukturę, ustrój polityczny. Ponadto opisuje rozwój relacji międzynarodowych niepodległej Białorusi z Unią Europejską. UE od dawna jest jednym z najważniejszych partnerów Białorusi, od momentu uzyskania niepodległości przez Białoruś, wzajemne stosunki z UE bardzo często były przeplatane w wielu sferach życia politycznego, gospodarczego i społeczno-kulturowego. Dlatego też należało pokrótce zilustrować obraz rozwoju sytuacji z stosunkach dwustronnych Białorusi i UE. Drugi rozdział zawiera w sobie opisanie metodologii badań własnych. Przedstawia postawiony cel badawczy, problem badawczy oraz sposób realizacji owego celu badawczego.Rozdział trzeci opisuje uzyskane wyniki własnych badań empirycznych i odpowiada na postawione pytania badawcze za pomocą ankiet oraz odpowiedzi do nich, które zostały udzielone przez obywateli Białorusi. Owa ankieta była podstawowym środkiem, za pomocą którego prowadzone były badania empiryczne, mające na celu sprawdzić poziom wiedzy Białorusinów o UE oraz ich stosunek do ewentualnej integracji z UE.

The main theme of this work is the analyses of Belarus and the EU relation’s development from the moment of Belarus independence till present days. Besides, the work shows by a personal research an attitude of Belarus citizens to the EU and also an attitude to the potential integration process between Belarus and the EU. This is actual problem because of the dynamic European integration process and existence of the common borders between them. The priority goal was to find an answer to a number of questions concerning Belarusian knowledge level about the EU, their relation to the EU and hypothetic potential Belarus and the EU integration.The first part includes the description of the situation in Belarus on the international political scene since 1991. It considers the basic data about Belarus, its social and economic structure, political system. Also describes the development of the independent Belarus international relations with special paying attention at Belarus and the EU relations. The EU has become one of the most important long-time partners of Belarus. Since the proclamation of the sovereignty of Belarus, Belarus-EU relations overlap in many areas of political, economic, social and cultural life. That’s why it was necessary to present briefly a picture of the development of the situation in the bilateral relations between Belarus and the EU.The second part is a description of the research methods. It includes the goal of research, scientific problem and the way of the research objectives implementation.The third part describes the results of personal research and answers to the scientific problem with the help of questionnaires and the responses to it by Belarusian citizens. This questionnaire was the main method by which was studied public opinion and the level of knowledge about the European Union.
