The issue of social inequalities throughout the world

W pracy omówiono zagadnienie problemu nierówności społecznych na świecie. Celem pracy był opis przyczyn oraz wpływu nierówności społecznych na życie osób zamieszkujących kraje wysoko, średnio i słabo rozwinięte oraz wskazanie perspektyw zmniejszenia wpływu nierówności społecznych takich jak realizacja Milenijnych Celów Rozwoju Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych. Zastosowano metodę analizy wskaźników ekonomicznych mierzących nierówności: współczynnika Giniego, współczynnika rozkładu dochodów per capita, wskaźnika ubóstwa, Wskaźnika Rozwoju Ludzkiego oraz opisu przykładów nierówności w poszczególnych państwach. Wykorzystano 52 pozycje bibliograficzne.

This thesis covers the problem of social inequalities throughout the world. One of the objectives of this thesis is to describe the reasons and influence of social inequalities on lives of people, who live in highly developed, developed and poorly developed countries. The other purpose of this work is to indicate the perspectives of lessening the influence of social inequalities, such as realization of Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations. Certain methods of economic indicators, which measure inequalities, has been applied : the Gini coefficient, the dispersion of income per capita coefficient, the poverty indicator, the Human Development Index and examples of inequalities in certain countries. 52 publications have been used in this thesis.
