Parents as an authority in the perception of high school students

Niniejsza praca porusza problematykę dotyczącą autorytetu rodzicielskiego. Pozwala poznać postawy rodzicielskie rodziców badanej młodzieży licealnej, czynniki, które w ich ocenie wzmacniają bądź osłabiają autorytet rodzicielski. Zamieszczone rozdziały przybliżają kwestie zarówno z punktu widzenia teoretycznego jak i praktycznego. Pierwsza część pracy skupia się na wyjaśnieniu pojęcia autorytet oraz przedstawieniu jego specyfiki. Ukazuje różnorodne definicje, analizę podmiotu autorytetu, rodzaje oraz funkcję autorytetów pedagogicznych. Na końcu pierwszego rozdziału przedstawiony został związek autorytetu z innymi pojęciami, a także aspekt rozwoju odnoszący się do wzorów osobowych, które są czynnikami rozwojowymi. Drugi rozdział dotyczy autorytetu rodzicielskiego, opisuje rolę jaką odgrywa w wychowaniu oraz to, jak się kształtuje. Kolejną ważną poruszoną kwestią w pracy jest kryzys autorytetów oraz zjawiska z nim związane.Przeprowadzone badania za pomocą kwestionariusza ankiety dowiodły, iż największym wzorem dla młodzieży są rodzice. Badani pozytywnie wartościują pojęcie ‘autorytet’, podziwiają osobę będącą wzorem. Wbrew temu co jest powszechnie głoszone, nauczyciele mają znaczny wpływ na kształtowanie się postaw młodych ludzi. Za najważniejsze właściwości kreujące autorytet matki i ojca, uważają: sprawiedliwość, tolerancyjność oraz odpowiedzialność. Z kolei za najbardziej degradujące: nieuczciwość. Jak się okazało postawy rodzicielskie w znacznym stopniu różnicują sposób postrzegania autorytetu rodzicielskiego.

This thesis presents issues related to parental authority. It presents the attitude of parents of the tested high school students and explains the factors that they considered to strengthen or weaken parental authority. The chapters cover the issues both from the theoretical and practical point of view. The first part of the thesis focuses on explaining the concept of authority and its specification. It shows a variety of definitions and analyses the concept of authority and types and functions of educational authority. At the end of the first chapter the relationship of authority to other other terms as well as aspects relating to the development of personal models which are factors of development is presented. The second chapter deals with parental authority. It describes the role that it plays in education and how it evolves. Another important issue raised in the work is the crisis of authorities and phenomena associated with it.The study, using a questionnaire survey, showed that the biggest role model for young people are their parents. Respondents positively value the concept of 'authority', and admired persons who are a role model. Contrary to what is commonly preached, teachers have a significant impact on the attitudes of young people. To young people the most important properties that make a mother and father an authority are justice, tolerance and responsibility. In turn, dishonesty is the most degrading behaviour in their eyes. As it turned out, parental attitudes significantly differentiate the perception of parental authority.
