An attempt to solve the problem of misuse by the parents role of libraries in the context of working with children on the example of a behavior analysis of Polish public libraries.

Przedmiotem pracy licencjackiej jest próba rozwiązania problemu nadużywania przez rodziców roli bibliotek w kontekście pracy z dziećmi. Celem jest, w miarę możliwości, skuteczne rozwiązanie problemu wymienionego w tytule. Podczas badania problemu zastosowano metodę analizy przypadków: przeanalizowano przykładowe rozwiązania problemu stosowane w różnych bibliotekach na terenie Polski i za granicą. Problem nadużywania przez rodziców roli bibliotek w kontekście pracy z dziećmi istnieje, jednak nie niesie on ze sobą poważnych problemów związanych z prawidłowym funkcjonowaniem bibliotek publicznych. Podejście bibliotek do problemu opisanego w niniejszej pracy licencjackiej jest zróżnicowany. Niektóre biblioteki wprowadziły w życie odpowiednie regulaminy, regulujące zasady przebywania małoletnich dzieci na terenie biblioteki. Natomiast pewna część tych instytucji wprowadziła odpowiednie zajęcia, podczas których można pozostawić dziecko tylko i wyłącznie pod opieką bibliotekarza. Autorka proponuje w pracy własny regulamin, który określa zasady korzystania z usług bibliotecznych oraz nowatorską usługę biblioteczną.

The subject of this thesis is to try to solve the problem of misuse by the parents of the role of libraries in the context of working with children. The main objective is to find effective solution to the problem. Analysis of he cases was used by the author. In his work, a student analyzed solutions in different libraries used on Polish territory and abroad. The problem of misuse by the parents of the role of libraries in the context of working with children exits, but not affecting the proper functioning of public libraries. Libraries approach to the problem described in this thesis is varied. Some libraries have put in place appropriate regulations of presence minor children in the library. In contrast, some of these institutions prepared dedicated workshops, during which parents can leave the child under the supervision of a librarian. The author proposes in the work of their own regulations, which describe the use of library services and also innovative library service to cover the problem.
