Zachowania nabywcze, konsument online, strategie nabywcze online, efekt ROPO
Purchasing behavior, online consumer, online purchasing strategies, ROPO effect
The aim of this study is to collect and identify patterns and mechanisms, as well as the purchasing strategies connected to information processing during the online purchasing process.Firstly the study presents models of consumer attitudes and behaviors. Consumption is recognized as a process, which starts when a need, motivation and commitment occurs, and which is accompanied by risks and uncertainties. This chapter also describes the conditions of purchasing behavior, dividing them into three types of factors: marketing, environment characteristics and buyer characteristics. The next chapter focuses on information processing theory, which explains the importance and role of information in decision-making. This perspective has been enriched by a description of the buyer decision-making process specific for a network environment. In the following the paper discusses macro and micro determinants of online purchasing behavior. The purpose of this part of the paper is to present observed, documented strategies and types of e-purchasing consument behavior. Analysis of purchasing behavior in terms of the information relates to the client, thus distinguishes four main features of the online purchasing process. Firstly it analyzes the system, secondly the buyer personal values, understood as an experience in the system and in the field (customer characteristics), thirdly online search process and fourthly the strategy, tailored to the needs of the buyer and the nature of the purchase. The section describing the system and its variables, the e-consumer environment, analyzes the macro factors divided in: the environmental (system), cultural and social factors. Here is also incorporated the medium specificity and its high change dynamics, global trends in buying behavior and social factors affecting today mainly through the network. As for the latter, the work discusses issues such as network individualism, multi-tasking, a new type of person: homo mobilis and the impact of social mediaNext part of the work describes and analyzes the remaining elements of the model (the buyer characteristics, the act of searching online and buying behavior strategies) in terms of the process, just what is meant by online purchasing behavior. This chapter aims to review current research regarding the processing of information by the consumer in the purchasing behaviour or in it’s wider understanding as decision-making process. The starting point in the purchasing process are needs, motives and attitudes of the buyer, which is what is associated with the first element of the model - the consumer and the element of personal values. Then, the analysis applies to search for information online, which is accompanied by evaluation and comparison of available options. It also raised issues which affect consumer choice, ie aspects such as the degree of commitment or risk.At the end strategies adopted by the modern consumer in purchasing behavior are discussed. In the research part the work focuses on aspects related to the process of searching for information online, which is the third element of the model. The search will be analyzedin 3 dimensions: attraction-risk dimension, the credibility dimension and influence dimension (looking for influence or it’s exertion). This last chapter is an qualitative analysis of online forum content, which studies the links between aspects of the online purchasing process.
