Awareness of the sharenting phenomenon among parents of children in grades 1-4 of primary school. Analysis of relationships, transformations, and consequences

Praca koncentruje się na analizie świadomości rodziców dzieci z klas 1-4 szkoły podstawowej na temat zjawiska sharentingu oraz ocenie przemian w środowisku szkolnym i ogólnych konsekwencji tego zjawiska. Opracowanie obejmuje również socjologię dzieci i dzieciństwa, ukazuje sharenting z perspektywy orientacji dramaturgicznej Ervinga Goffmana oraz bada zmiany praktyk rodzicielskich związane z rozwojem technologii cyfrowych. Praca analizuje także rolę szkoły w procesie ochrony dzieci przed zagrożeniami wynikającymi z sharentingu. Badania, przeprowadzone w formie ankiet z rodzicami i wywiadów z nauczycielami oraz psychologiem, wykazały stosunkowo wysoki poziom świadomości, jednak nie przekłada się to na refleksję rodziców nad możliwymi zagrożeniami związanymi z nadmiernym udostępnianiem wizerunku dzieci w Internecie. Podkreślona jest także rola szkół w edukacji na temat bezpieczeństwa w sieci, przy jednoczesnym braku formalnych programów związanych z sharentingiem. Praca wskazuje na konieczność zwiększenia świadomości społecznej oraz wprowadzenia odpowiednich środków ochrony praw dzieci.

The thesis focuses on analyzing the awareness of parents of children in grades 1-4 of primary school regarding the phenomenon of sharenting, as well as evaluating transformations in the school environment and the overall consequences of this phenomenon. The study also includes the sociology of children and childhood, presenting sharenting from the perspective of Erving Goffman's dramaturgical approach, and examines changes in parenting practices related to the development of digital technologies. The thesis also analyzes the role of schools in protecting children from the dangers of sharenting. The research, conducted through surveys with parents and interviews with teachers and psychologists, revealed a relatively high level of awareness, but this did not translate into reflection by parents on the possible risks associated with over-sharing their children's images online. The role of schools in educating about online safety is also highlighted, though there is a lack of formal programs related to sharenting. The study points to the need for increasing social awareness and implementing appropriate measures to protect children's rights.
