The compulsory third party liability insurance of vehicle owners

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy jest obowiązkowe ubezpieczenie odpowiedzialności cywilnej posiadaczy pojazdów. W pracy zostały omówione bariery wzrostu popytu na ubezpieczenia, perspektywy rozszerzenie zakresy ubezpieczeń obowiązkowych. Celem pracy jest scharakteryzowanie i przybliżenie najbardziej istotnych aspektów związanych z obowiązkowym ubezpieczeniem komunikacyjnym posiadaczy pojazdów. Praca przedstawia ewolucję ubezpieczeń obowiązkowych, zawiera charakterystyczne działaności instytucji - Polskiego Biura Ubezpieczeń Komunikacyjnych oraz Ubezpieczeniowego Funduszu Gwarancyjnego. Została również podkreślona rola obowiązkowych ubezpieczeń komunikacyjnych na rynku ubezpieczeń gospodarczych oraz rola ubezpieczenia odpowiedzialności cywilnej.

The subject of this work is the compulsory third-party liability insurance of vehicle owners. The paper discusses barriers to growth in demand for insurance and the prospects for expanding the scope of compulsory insurance. The aim of the work is to characterize and approximate the most important aspects related to the compulsory motor insurance of vehicle owners. This thesis presents the evolution of compulsory insurance, contains the nature of the activities of the institution - the Polish Motor Insurance Bureau and the Fundusz Guarantee Insurance. The role of compulsory motor insurance on the commercial insurance market and the role of third party liability insurance were also emphasized.
