Celem niniejszej pracy dyplomowej jest omówienie mechanizmu funkcjonowania globalnego rynku kryptowalut. Proces badawczy koncentruje się na przeprowadzeniu analizy fundamentalnej rynku kryptowalut w wybranym okresie. Zakres badawczy obejmuje zagadnienia dotyczące warunków, roli i znaczenia oraz potencjału rynku kryptowalut opartego na technologii blockchain, a także możliwych sposobów inwestowania i ekspozycji na omawiany rynek. Dane badawcze wykorzystane w analizie fundamentalnej pochodzą z informacji zawartych na platformach agregujących dane i rozliczających kontrakty zawarte w blockchainie. Wnioski z badań wskazują na silnie niedowartościowanie kryptowalut stanowiących przedmiot transakcji na rynku.

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the mechanism of functioning of the global cryptocurrency market. The research process focuses on conducting a fundamental analysis of the cryptocurrency market in a selected period. The research scope includes issues regarding the conditions, role and importance as well as the potential of the cryptocurrency market based on blockchain technology, including possible ways of investing and exposure to the discussed market. The research data used in fundamental analysis comes from information contained on platforms that aggregate data and settle contracts in the blockchain. The conclusions of the research indicate a strong undervaluation of cryptocurrencies that are the subject of transactions on the market.
