Praca została poświęcona postaci dramaturga (nie dramatopisarza) w polskim teatrze, którego nasilająca się obecność stała się ważnym sygnałem rozwoju myślenia o współczesnej scenie. Teoretyczny rozdział podejmuje problem zmian zachodzących w podejściu do tekstu w teatrze, opisując rozluźnienie relacji dramatu i inscenizacji. Teatr postdramatyczny, w którym dramaturg zajmuje się opracowywaniem scenariusza teatralnego, dąży do wytworzenia na scenie sytuacji zdarzenia, a charakter tekstów powstających dla sceny staje się coraz bardziej performatywny. Na analizowany materiał złożyły się przede wszystkim wypowiedzi dramaturgów i reżyserów dotyczące sposobu ich pracy nad konkretnymi spektaklami. Przyjrzenie się dokładniej dramaturgom: Sebastianowi Majewskiemu, Jolancie Janiczak i Marcinowi Cecce dowodzi, że reprezentują oni odmienne metody pracy nad spektaklem teatralnym oraz współpracy z reżyserem.

This thesis has been devoted to the work of a dramaturg (not playwright) in Polish theatre, whose more and more pronounced presence on the stages has become an important sign of a development in the ways of thinking about modern theatre. The theoretical part focuses on changes in approach to the text in the theatre, and describes a loosening of the relationship between a drama and a staging. The postdramatic theatre, in which the dramaturg works on creating a theatre scenario, tries to create a situation of a happening in the theatre, and the character of the texts created for stage becomes more and more performative. The analyzed material consists mostly of comments and explanations of their work given by various dramaturges and directors themselves. Looking closer on the work of Sebastian Majewski, Jolanta Janiczak and Marcin Cecko proves that they represent very different methods of working on a theatre performance and collaboration with the director.
