The effectiveness of using the method of extreme sports in preventive and resocialising actions within the group of charges in SIEMACHA Society.

Autor pracy odnosząc się do teorii zachowań ryzykownych, teorii socjalizacji, funkcji resocjalizacyjnych małych grup społecznych, jak również uwzględniając własną praktykę pedagogiczną – prowadzenia autorskiego programu interwenci pedagogicznej – podejmuje próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie o skuteczność zastosowania metody sportów ekstremalnych w oddziaływaniach profilaktycznych i resocjalizacyjnych w grupie wychowanków Stowarzyszenia SIEMACHA. Wyniki przeprowadzonych wśród 80 wychowanków badań własnych, o charakterze jakościowym, przy zastosowaniu technik obserwacji oraz wywiadu grupowego, jednoznacznie dowodzą, iż zastosowanie metody sportów ekstremalnych poprawia umiejętności: 1) zakresie bezpiecznego wyrażania emocji, 2) komunikacyjne, 3) negocjacyjne, 3) rozwiązywania problemów we współpracy grupowej. Na szczególne podkreślenie zasługuje wniosek z badań, zgodnie z którym metoda sportów ekstremalnych kształtuje kulturę pracy grupowej, dla której podstawą jest wzajemne zaufanie i poczucie bezpieczeństwa.

Considering the theory of risky behaviour, the theory of socialisation, the resocialising functions of small social groups as well as own pedagogical experience, which is conducting the proprietary program of pedagogical intervention, the author of the thesis carries out the research on the effectiveness of using the method of extreme sports in preventive and resocialising actions within the group of charges in SIEMACHA Society.The results of the qualitative research which was done among the group of eighty charges using the techniques of observation and the method of the group interview unequivocally prove that introducing the method of extreme sports improves the abilities of: 1) safe emotional expression, 2) communication, 3) negotiation, 4) resolving problems in group cooperation.The result of the research which needs to be specially emphasised is that the method of the extreme sports influences the ability of group cooperation which is based on reciprocal trust and the sense of security.
