Synthesis of unsymmetrical substrates for the intramolecular Rauhut-Currier reaction

W badaniach przeprowadzono syntezę niesymetrycznych α, β-nienasyconych substratów, zawierających ugrupowania ketonowe oraz estrowe. Pracę rozpoczęto od syntezy odpowiednich ylidów, które następnie były poddawane reakcji Wittiga z aldehydem glutarowym. Tak przygotowane monopodstawione aldehydy, ponownie poddano reakcji z ylidem w celu otrzymania niesymetrycznego substratu. Ostatnim etapem badań było przeprowadzenie wewnątrzcząsteczkowej reakcji Rauhuta-Currier (RC), w której wykorzystywano chiralne kompleksy selenu z różnymi pochodnymi 3,3’-BINOL-i.

The main point of this research was to prepare substrates for the intramolecular Rauhut-Currier (RC) reaction. In the investigation, an attempt to synthesize α,β-unsaturated compounds was made with ketone and ester groups. The work started from the preparation of appropriate ylides, which have been subjected to a Wittig reaction with glutaraldehyde. The prepared monosubstituted aldehydes have again been subjected to a Wittig reaction with different ylides, in order to receive an unsymmetrical compound. The final stage of the research was to carry out the intramolecular Rauhut-Currier reaction, where chiral selenium complexes with various derivatives of 3,3'-BINOL were used.
