Praca porusza zagadnienia dotyczące podboju i kolonizacji Wysp Kanaryjskich w późnym średniowieczu, które zostały przedstawione w wielu średniowiecznych i nowożytnych źródłach oraz w zinterpretowane przez współczesnych historyków. W pierwszej części pracy zostały przedstawione dzieje polityczne Kastylii i Aragonii do XV wieku. Drugi rozdział stanowi przegląd najważniejszych wydarzeń Wysp Kanaryjskich przed europejskim podbojem. Trzeci rozdział przedstawia proces podboju i kolonizacji Wysp Szczęśliwych przez Królów Katolickich.

The paper deals with the issues of conquest and colonization of the Canary Islands in the late Middle Ages, which have been presented in many medieval and modern sources and interpreted by many modern historians. The first part presents the political history of Castile and Aragon until the 15th century. The second chapter provides an overview of the most important events of Canary Islands before the European conquest. The third chapter shows the process of conquest and colonization of the Happy Islands by the Catholic Kings.
