Tom powstał jako kontynuacja międzynarodowego projektu RHEFINE realizowanego na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim w latach 2020-2022 i kontynuowanego w ramach Pracowni Retoryki Stosowanej na Wydziale Polonistyki UW

Rozdział poświęcony debacie parlamentarnej zawiera krótką historię polskiego parlamentaryzmu, a także miejsca i roli debat w pracach polskiego sejmu. Autorka skupia się szczególnie na aspekcie rytualnym i organizacyjnym debat, gdyż znaczna formalizacja zachowań językowych to cecha konstytutywna tego typu zdarzeń komunikacyjnych, zależnych od regulaminu i porządku obrad. W szczególności określone zostały zasady debatowania i przypisane uczestnikom określone role warunkujące ich zachowania komunikacyjne, a także specyfika języka parlamentarnego, jak np. formuły słowne i ściśle określone gatunki debaty parlamentarnej, limitowany czas wystąpień, a także ich kolejność zapisywania się do głosu, warunkowana porządkiem obrad. Ponadto debata parlamentarna opisana została w aspekcie społecznym i kulturowym na tle przeobrażeń języka polityki oraz dyskursu publicznego, które są dla niego istotnym tłem, podobnie jak poszczególne kadencje parlamentarne, stanowiące względnie jednorodne czynniki kształtujące przebieg poszczególnych debat, jak: skład poselski, określony stosunek sił politycznych itp. Poświęcono także nieco uwagi specyfice perswazji w debacie parlamentarnej. Podział na koalicję i opozycję i określona przynależność polityczna posłów sprawiają, iż zazwyczaj przed debatą jej uczestnicy wiedzą, jak będą głosować, szczególnie istotna staje się więc rola odbiorcy masowego debat parlamentarnych i ich teatralizacja w celach pozytywnej autoprezentacji i degradacji przeciwników politycznych

The chapter devoted to the parliamentary debate contains a short history of Polish parliamentarism, as well as the place and role of debates in the work of the Polish Parliament. The author focuses particularly on the ritual and organizational aspects of debates, as significant formalization of linguistic behaviour is a constitutive feature of this type of communication events, depending on the rules and agenda. In particular, the rules of debating were defined, and the participants were assigned specific roles conditioning their communication behaviour, as well as the specificity of the parliamentary language, such as verbal formulas and strictly defined genres of parliamentary debate, limited time of speeches, as well as their order of subscribing to the floor, conditioned by the agenda. In addition, the parliamentary debate is described in the social and cultural aspect against the back-ground of transformations in the language of politics and public discourse, which are an important back-ground for it, as well as individual parliamentary terms, which are relatively homogeneous factors shaping the course of individual debates, such as: political, etc. Some attention has been also devoted to the specificity of persuasion in the parliamentary debate. The division into the coalition and the opposition and the specific political affiliation of deputies mean that usually before the debate its participants know how they will vote, so the role of the mass audience of parliamentary debates and their theatricalization for positive self-presentation and degradation of political opponents becomes particularly important.
