Sexual vocabulary of Czech students

Tematem pracy licencjackiej jest słownictwo seksualne czeskich studentów. Na potrzeby pracy przeprowadzono badanie ankietowe, w ramach którego pytano o określenia stosowane w stosunku do części ciała (penisa, jąder, pochwy, łechtaczki, piersi, pośladków i odbytu) oraz czynności seksualnych (stosunku seksualnego, fellatio, cunnilingus, stosunku analnego, pettingu, męskiej masturbacji, kobiecej masturbacji, orgazmu i wytrysku). Zebrano 117 wypełnionych ankiet, zawierających 581 leksemów. Spośród nich 95 leksemów, pojawiających się z największą częstotliwością, zostało poddanych analizie słowotwórczej. Z analizy wynika, że czeskie słownictwo dotyczące seksu powstaje najczęściej w wyniku neosemantyzacji (metonimizacji i metaforyzacji). Popularna jest także derywacja słowotwórcza (głównie odrzeczownikowa, z dużym udziałem deminutywów, oraz odczasownikowa). Występują również starsze wyrazy rodzime, w tym grupa leksemów pochodząca prawdopodobnie od onomatopei naśladującej czynność oddawania moczu. Najmniej liczną grupą są zapożyczenia z łaciny, greki, angielskiego i niemieckiego.

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is the sexual vocabulary of Czech students. As part of the work, a survey was carried out asking about the terms used for body parts (penis, testicles, vagina, clitoris, breasts, buttocks and anus) and sexual activities (sexual intercourse, fellatio, cunnilingus, anal intercourse, petting, male masturbation, female masturbation, orgasm and ejaculation). 117 completed questionnaires were collected, containing 581 lexemes. Of these, the 95 lexemes appearing with the highest frequency were subjected to a word formation analysis. The analysis shows that Czech vocabulary concerning sex is most often produced by neosemantisation (metonymisation and metaphorisation). Derivation (mainly noun-to-noun derivation, with a high proportion of deminutives, and verb-to-noun derivation) is also popular. There are also old native words, including a group of lexemes probably derived from onomatopoeia mimicking the action of urinating. The least numerous group are loanwords from Latin, Greek, English and German.
