Family determinants of junior high school students' life orientations

Tematem pracy były: Rodzinne uwarunkowania orientacji życiowych uczniów gimnazjum. W powyższych rozważaniach założonym celem pracy było uzyskanie wyników badań odnoszących się do preferowanych stylów wychowawczych ojca i matki różnicujących orientacje życiowe młodzieży. Zamierzony cel tejże pracy został osiągnięty w 90%. Mianowicie udowodniono wpływ poszczególnych stylów wychowawczych na wybór drogi życiowej respondentów, aczkolwiek zaklasyfikowanie rodziców do poszczególnych stylów wychowawczych nie było oczywistą czynnością. Gdyż brak było wyraźnych granic pomiędzy rozpatrywanymi stylami: demokratycznym, autokratycznym, liberalnym kochającym oraz liberalnym niekochającym. Po wnikliwej analizie całości zebranego materiału można zdecydowanie potwierdzić wysuniętą hipotezę badawczą, a więc sposób wychowania, atmosfera i struktura rodzinna to elementy niezwykle istotne, ważne i biorące udział w formowaniu młodego człowieka, który kończąc pewny etap swej edukacji zmuszony jest decydować o dalszym losie. W tym miejscu pragnę podziękować wszystkim, którzy nieustannie wspierali mnie w pisaniu tejże pracy oraz dyrekcji gimnazjum w Krempachach za umożliwienie przeprowadzenia badań na terenie szkoły.

The topic of the thesis was: “ Family determinants of junior high school students’ life orientations”. The aim of the thesis, included in the discussion, was to achieve the research results concerning the father’s and mother’s preferable upbringing styles that diversify the youth’s life orientation. The intended aim of the thesis has been achieved in 90 per cent. It has been proved that specific upbringing styles influence the respondents in their choice of the life track they want to follow. Nevertheless, the classification of the parents into individual upbringing styles has not been obvious. The above mentioned difficulty was due to the lack of the distinct boundaries among the examined styles which included democratic, autocratic, liberal loving and liberal non-loving. After the thorough analysis of the collected materials, the research hypothesis proved to be correct, that is the way of upbringing , the atmosphere and the family structure are the crucial elements taking part in the process of molding young people, who after finishing a certain stage in their education, are forced to make a decision concerning their further lot. At this point I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all people who were supporting me in the process of writing the thesis as well as to the Headmaster of Gimnazjum School in Krempachy who enabled me to perform the research at the school grounds.
