Praca o charakterze opisowo-badawczym oparta na dwóch wybranych filmach amerykańskich reżyserów o japońskich gejszach. Pierwszy rozdział to wyjaśnienie podstawowych pojęć ściśle związanych z tematem. Pojawiają się definicje gejszy, kultury oraz stereotypu. W rozdziale drugim przedstawiona jest geneza słowa gejsza, cała droga, którą musi przejść młoda adeptka, aby opanować profesję oraz rola zawodu w kulturze japońskiej. Część trzecia zawiera opisy filmów, które są istotnym elementem pracy, gdyż to na ich podstawie opisane są koncepcje reżyserów. Ostatni, czwarty segment, przedstawia całą metodologię, porównuje poprzez analizę treści dwa spojrzenia oraz opisuje różnice między filmowym odbiorem a rzeczywistością.

A descriptive and research work based on two selected films by American directors about Japanese geishas. The first chapter is an explanation of the basic concepts closely related to the topic. Definitions of geishas, ​​culture and stereotype appear. The second chapter presents the genesis of the word geisha, the entire path that a young adept must undergo in order to master the profession and the role of the profession in Japanese culture. The third part contains descriptions of films, which are an important element of the work, because it is on their basis describes the concepts of directors. The last, fourth segment, presents the entire methodology, compares two views through content analysis and describes the differences between film reception and reality.
