Problematyka pracy dotyczy kwestii związanych z zamkiem (mechanizmem spustowym) kuszy na ziemiach polskich od XIII do początku XVI wieku. Analiza jest oparta o materiały pochodzące z badań archeologicznych na stanowiskach różnego typu (np. budowle obronne, miasta). Obejmuje ona kontekst znalezisk, materiał, z jakiego zostały wykonane, obecność poszczególnych elementów konstrukcyjnych oraz wymiary. Celem pracy jest odpowiedź na pytanie, czy możliwe jest ustalenie klasyfikacji chronologicznej elementów zamka na podstawie szczegółów ich konstrukcji.
The subject of the work concerns issues related to the lock (trigger mechanism) of the crossbow in Poland from the 13th century to the beginning of the 16th century. The analysis are based on materials from archaeological researches at various type of sites (e.g. defensive buildings, cities). It includes the context of finds, the material from which they were made, the presence of particular structural elements and dimensions. The aim of the work is to answer the question whether it is possible to determine the chronological classification of the lock elements based on the details of their construction.
