Using the assumptions of the Lean Management concept to optimize processes in the financial area of a service providing company

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie narzędzi koncepcji Lean Management, które mogą być wykorzystywane do optymalizacji procesów w obszarze finansowym przedsiębiorstwa. W pracy została przedstawiona geneza oraz główne założenia koncepcji szczupłego zarządzania oraz warunki konieczne do efektywnego wdrożenia koncepcji w przedsiębiorstwie z branży usługowej. Szczupłe zarządzanie może zostać wdrożone do wielu obszarów funkcjonalnych przedsiębiorstwa. W pracy w szczególności zwrócono uwagę na obszar finansowy przedsiębiorstwa. Przedstawione zostały narzędzia wykorzystywane w tym obszarze, do których zalicza się między innymi: poka-yoke, hoshin kanri, a także narzędzie szczupłej rachunkowości – rachunek kosztów i wyników strumienia wartości. Rozdział empiryczny pracy wskazuje w jaki sposób wykorzystywane są powyższe narzędzia w obszarze finansowym przedsiębiorstwa z branży biotechnologicznej. Przedstawiony został również ich realny wpływ na jakość przekazywanych informacji oraz na wzrost wartości dodanej dla klienta wewnętrznego.

The purpose of this thesis is to present the Lean Management concept tools that can be used to optimize processes in the company’s financial area. The thesis presents the genesis and main assumptions of the concept of lean management and the conditions necessary for the effective implementation of the concept in an enterprise from the service branch. Lean management can be implemented in many functional areas of an enterprise. The thesis focuses in particular on the company’s financial area. The tools used in this area has been presented in the thesis, including: poka-yoke, hoshin kanri, and lean accounting tool – cost and result calculation of a value stream. The empirical chapter of the thesis indicates how the above tools are used in the financial area of the company from the biotechnology branch. It also presents their real impact on the quality of the information provided and on the increase of added value for the internal customers.
