Optimization of communication on the example of information transfer at the Frankfurt airport

Praca magisterska dotyczy optymalizacji komunikacji transferu informacji na lotnisku we Frankfurcie. Niniejsza praca porusza zagadnienie, czy tekst wszystkich wiadomości na lotnisku jest zrozumiały i precyzyjny.Pierwszy rozdział dotyczy teoretycznych podstaw komunikacji oraz ukazuje rodzaje komunikacji i ich modele. Ponadto została opisana komunikacja interpersonalna na lotnisku we Frankfurcie, która określa dokładnie, jakie rodzaje komunikacji występują na lotnisku. Następnie wyjaśniono pojęcie multimodalności. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest pojęciu optymalizacji komunikacji i jej metodom optymalizacji. Trzeci rozdział pracy magisterskiej opisuje sytuacje, w których komunikacja odbywa się na lotnisku, na przykład przy okienku linii lotniczej lub przy kontroli bezpieczeństwa. Jest przedstawiona analiza, w jaki sposób podróżujący komunikują się z personelem naziemnym oraz jakie znaki i informacje otrzymują podczas pobytu na lotnisku. W tym rozdziale pokazano zdjęcia komunikatów na lotnisku we Frankfurcie, które są dziełem autorki pracy, które powinny służyć lepszemu zrozumieniu sytuacji komunikacyjnych.Na tej podstawie czwarty rozdział szczegółowo omawia kwestię przebiegu przekazywania informacji. Celem tego badania jest analiza aktualnego transferu informacji na lotnisku we Frankfurcie. W pracy przez badanie sprawdza się, czy wszystkie informacje są zrozumiałe dla podróżnych, a także dla personelu lotniska. Na końcu przedstawiono opracowanie optymalizacji komunikacji.

The master thesis deals with the communication optimization of the information transfer at the Frankfurt airport. This paper addresses the question of whether the text of all messages at the airport is understandable and precise.The first chapter deals with theoretical fundamentals of communication. This shows types of communication and their models. Furthermore, the interpersonal communication at Frankfurt Airport is described, which determines exactly what types of communication occur at the airport. Finally, the concept of multimodality is explained. The second chapter is devoted to the notion of communication optimization and its optimization methods. The third chapter of this paper describes situations in which communication takes place at the airport, such as at the counter or at the security checkpoint. It analyzes how travelers communicate with ground staff and what signs and information they receive during their stay at the airport. In this chapter self-made photos of communication messages at Frankfurt Airport are shown, which should serve for a better understanding of the communication situations.Based on this, the fourth chapter deals in detail with the investigation of the course of information transfer. The aim of this study is to analyze the current information transfer at Frankfurt Airport. It examines whether any information is understandable to travelers and also to airport staff. Afterwards, an elaboration of an action recommendation or a solution proposal for the optimization of this is presented.

Das erste Kapitel beschreibt die theoretischen Grundlagen im Bereich der Kommunikation. Hierbei werden sowohl die Typen der Kommunikation als auch die entsprechenden Modelle umfassend dargestellt. Des Weiteren wird die interpersonale Kommunikation am Frankfurter Flughafen beschrieben, die genau festlegt, welche Kommunikationsformen am Flughafen existieren. Abschließend wird der Begriff der Multimodalität erläutert. Das zweite Kapitel umfasst den Begriff der Kommunikationsoptimierung und die entsprechenden Methoden zur Optimierung. Im dritten Kapitel der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die unterschiedlichsten Situationen, an denen am Flughafen kommuniziert wird, beschrieben. Hierzu gehören beispielsweise die Kommunikation am Schalter oder an den Sicherheitskontrollen. Dabei wird analysiert, wie sich die Reisenden mit dem Bodenpersonal verständigen und welche Hinweisschilder sowie Informationen sie während des Aufenthaltes am Flughafen wahrnehmen. In diesem Kapitel werden zudem selbstgemachte Fotos von Kommunikationsbotschaften am Frankfurter Flughafen abgebildet, welche zu einem besseren Verständnis der Kommunikationssituationen dienen sollten.Darauf aufbauend wird im vierten Kapitel der Verlauf des Informationstransfers ausführlich analysiert und beschrieben. Ziel dieser Untersuchung ist es, die Schwachstellen im momentanen Informationstransfer am Frankfurter Flughafen zu erörtern. Unter anderem werden hierbei jegliche Informationen für die Reisenden und auch für die Mitarbeiter des Flughafens auf Verständlichkeit überprüft. Anschließend werden Handlungsempfehlungen, beziehungsweise Lösungsvorschläge zur Optimierung beschrieben. Alle verwendeten Fotos wurden am Frankfurter Flughafen selbst aufgenommen und nach bestimmten Kriterien interpretiert.
