Tematem pracy jest analiza modelu teatralnego zaprojektowanego przez brazylijskiego twórcę Augusto Boala. Jego teatr opisuję w pesrpektywie teatru stosowanego. Jest to podejście wykorzystujące działania teatralne jako narzędzie do celów pozateatralnych. Przedstawiam definicję teatru stosowanego i jego charakterystykę, następnie opisuję rozwój Teatru Uciśnionych Augusto Boala oraz podstawy teoretyczne jego koncepcji. Opisuję funkcjonowanie oraz dramaturgię modelu Teatru Forum jako krytyki teatru głównego nurtu oraz przedstawiam koncepcję oraz przykłady praktyczne Teatru Legislatywnego.

This paper aims to analyze Augusto Boal’s theatrical system in the perspective of Applied Drama. It is an approach that uses theatre as a tool for non-theatrical purposes. I define in details Applied Drama concept, subsequently I describe evolution of Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed and its theoretical background. I analyze the dramaturgy and functioning of Forum Theatre as a form critical towards mainstream productions, then I depict conceptions as well as examples of Legislative Theatre .
