Practical aspects of property insurance system on the example of the Mutual Insurance Company „TUW”

W pracy omówiono zagadnienia dotyczące istoty ubezpieczeń oraz ich podstawowych funkcji, zasad i klasyfikacji. Przedstawiono również jak kształtuje się rynek ubezpieczeń na świecie i w Polsce, a także instytucje, które nadzorują ten sektor. Omówiono cechy umowy ubezpieczenia oraz podmioty, które je zawierają. Dokonano również klasyfikacji ryzyka i scharakteryzowano pojęcie składki ubezpieczeniowej. W ostatniej części pracy scharakteryzowano Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych „TUW” oraz przedstawiono i zanalizowano ofertę wybranych ubezpieczeń majątkowych tego towarzystwa.

The paper discusses issues related to the essence of insurance and its basic functions, rules and classification. It also presents how the insurance market is shaping in Poland and abroad, as well as the institutions that control the sector. The features of the insurance contracts and the entities that conclude them have been discussed. The risk has also been classified and the concept of the insurance premium has been characterized. The last part of the paper characterizes the Mutual Insurance Company "TUW" and presents and analyzes the offers of selected property insurance of the company.
