Autorka wykorzystuje teorie: rites de passage Arnolda van Gennepa,teorię cykliczności Edmunda Leacha, czy teorię statusowości Victora Turnera. Analizujewybrane filmy z uwzględnieniem kolejnych faz rytuału. Dyskurs rozwija charakterystycznedla tych koncepcji pojęcia: sacrum, profanum, tabu, communitas, liminalność ilimiloidalność. Wyjaśnia różnice między ceremonią a rytuałem.Ukazuje wieloaspektowość zjawiska obrzędowości. Wychodzi od jego uwarunkowańkulturowych. Punktem wyjścia jest kontakt jednostki z odmienną kulturą – krótkotrwały jakpodróż, bądź długotrwały jak życie w wielokulturowym państwie. Rozważa zjawisko zwaneszokiem przyszłości.Autorka ukazuje tożsamościowy aspekt rytuału przejścia. Opisuje wpływ relacji rodzinnychna relacje w nowej grupie społecznej – od efektu Bernsteina do tzw. tribalizmu.Podaje i analizuje rytuały inicjacyjne związane z najważniejszymi aspektami życia:narodzinami, śmiercią i seksualnością. Na wybranym przykładzie filmowym wyjaśniaobrzędowy charakter mitu i jego kulturowe znaczenie. Streszczenie pracy(max 1400 znaków)The discourse is an attempt to approach the work of Bernardo Bertolucci in terms of the rite ofpassage. The author uses different theories: the theory of rite of passage by Arnold van Gennep,cyclical theory of Edmund Leach, and Victor Turner's theory of status. Selected films are analyzed discussing subsequent phases of the ritual. The Discourse develops concepts characteristic ofthose theories: the sacred, the profane, taboos, communitas, liminality and liminoidity. Differences between the ceremony and ritual are explained.Many aspects of the phenomenon of ritual are revealed. The discourse begins with discussing cultural conditions. A startingpoint is the contact of an individual with a distinct culture. The contact might be short during a trip or long throughout the whole life in amulticultural country. A Phenomenon called future shock is considered.The author shows the identity aspect of the rite of passage. She describes the impact of family relations on relationshipsin the new social group – from Bernstein’s effect to tribalism.The author lists and analyzes the initiation rituals associated with the most important aspects of life:birth, death and sexuality. On the basis of a selected film she explains the ritual nature of mythand its cultural significance. The discourse is also an attempt to show the importance of the ceremony inthe preservation of tradition.The purpose of the thesis is to present Bernardo Bertolucci as an excellent observer of phenomenaoccurring in culture.
