Celem pracy jest przedstawienie kolejnego z licznych zastosowań matematyki, mianowicie zastosowanie teorii gier w biologii ewolucyjnej. W pracy zostaną wprowadzone pojęcia i definicje matematyczne niezbędne do zrozumienia tematu. Następnie omówione zostaną modele, które wyjaśnią pewne paradoksalne zachowania organizmów żywych, między innymi: model jastrząb - gołąb. W ostatnim rozdziale podane zostaną przykłady, które pozwolą zobrazować wprowadzone wcześniej modele oraz pokażą jak bardzo pomocne okazało się zastosowanie teorii gier w biologii ewolucyjnej.
The main purpose of this master's thesis is to present one of many applications of mathematics, the use of theory of games in evolutionary bioogy. This master's thesis will introduce concepts and definitions wich are useful in understanding the subject. Then this thesis will introduce the models that explain certain paradoxical behavior of organisms, for example: a model of a hawk - dove. The final chapter provides examples that will illustrate introduced models and show how useful is using the game theory in evolutionary biology.
