Tytułem pracy jest opieka pielęgniarska nad pacjentem agresywnym w oddziale psychiatrycznym. Poruszono w niej problem agresji chorych psychicznie i sposób reagowania w sytuacji zachowań agresywnych. Agresja chorych psychicznie może wynikać z przeżywanego lęku, napięcia, niepokoju, przeżyć psychotycznych, które powodują utratę poczucia bezpieczeństwa chorego i przeświadczenie o zagrożeniu ze strony otoczenia.Agresję możemy podzielić na słowną i fizyczną. Agresja słowna nie jest bezpośrednim zagrożeniem dla zdrowia i życia, jednak godzi w dobro osobiste drugiej osoby, wywołując u niej poczucie krzywdy, poniżenia, strachu. Agresja fizyczna to atak przeciw innej osobie powodując naruszenie nietykalności osobistej. Dobrze przeszkolony personel posiadający umiejętność obserwacji i znający zasady komunikacji, potrafi wcześnie wychwycić oznaki budzącej się agresji, a poprzez odpowiednio przeprowadzona rozmowę z chorym zniwelować lęk, napięcie aby nie doprowadzić do narastania agresji. Niniejsza praca licencjacka pokazuje sposób postępowania i opiekę pielęgniarską w poszczególnych etapach narastania agresji, od agresji słownej do czynnej, w której niejednokrotnie konieczne jest zastosowanie wobec pacjenta środków przymusu bezpośredniego.

Subject of thesis: Nursing care of the aggressive patient in the psychiatric ward. The purpose of thesis was to raise the problem of violence in the mentally ill patients and how to respond in case of aggression. Aggression mentally ill patients may be the result of experienced anxiety, tension, anxiety, psychotic symptoms, which cause the loss of the patient’s sense of security and confidence about the threat from the environment. Aggression can be divided into verbal and physical. Verbal abuse is not a direct threat to the health and life, however, is opposed to a personal right of another person, causing the feeling of injustice, humiliation, fear. Physical aggression is an attack against another person causing the violation of physical integrity. Well-trained nursing staff with the ability to observe and knowing the rules of communication will be able to detect early signs of the awakening of aggression. And by properly conducted interview with the patient will help him to overcome anxiety, tension so this will not lead to the rise of aggression. This paper presents the treatment and nursing care in various stages of rising violence from verbal aggression to the active, which often need to be applied to the patient’s coercive measures.
