Taiwan’s contribution to teaching Chinese in Europe

The paper presents Taiwan’s role in Chinese teaching in Europe. A comprehensive overview of support programs offered to European schools teaching Chinese, universities as well as to scholars can reveal what Taiwan has already done in education in the region and what is Taiwan’s potential and attitude in the field. Taiwan provides both domestic and international educational institutions with perfectly educated teachers as well as diverse teaching materials promoting the traditional writing system, culture and values along with intercultural communication. Effectiveness and efficiency in campaign for better understanding of the Chinese culture and language in Europe is the best evidence of Taiwan contribution to teaching Chinese in Europe.

本文旨在呈現台灣於歐洲華語文教學領域所扮演的角色及貢獻。概述台灣為歐洲華語教學有關學校與從事相關領域研究之學者提供的支持計劃，並展現台灣在歐洲的華語教學領域之成就，及其在該領域的潛能。台灣為國內外對外漢語教育單位提供具優秀學術背景之華語師資，亦極力推廣以傳統漢字書寫，內容蘊含傳統文化並結合跨文化交流之教材，足見台灣於歐洲華語文教學領域之眾多貢獻。
