German documentary drama in the 1960s and its realizations on polish stages.

W swojej pracy podejmuję zagadnienie niemieckiego dramatu dokumentu w latach 60. XX wieku, odwołując się do trzech przykładów: “Namiestnika” Rolfa Hohchhutha, “Przesłuchania J. Roberta Oppenheimera” Heinara Kippphardta oraz “Dochodzenia” Petera Weissa. Omawiam główne założenia nurtu, wskazując na jego niejednorodny charakter, spowodowany odmiennym potraktowaniem przez twórców materiału dokumentalnego, który stanowi podstawę ich dramatów. Odwołując się do relacji i krytycznych analiz prasy, dokonuję także opisu polskich realizacji wskazanych dramatów. Prezentuję różnice w odbiorze polskiej i niemieckiej publiczności, podając jednocześnie ich przyczyny, do których należą m.in: odmienna sytuacja polityczna w obu krajach, uwarunkowania historyczne czy tradycja literacka. Zajmuję się następującymi adaptacjami scenicznym: “Namiestnik” w Teatrze Narodowym w reżyserii Kazimierza Dejmka (prapremiera 16 kwietnia 1966) oraz w Teatrze im. Juliusza Słowackiego w Krakowie, w reżyserii Dejmka oraz Mirosława Wawrzyniaka (premiera 19 stycznia 1967); “Dochodzenie” w reżyserii Erwina Axera w Teatrze Współczesnym w Warszawie (prapremiera 6 czerwca 1966) oraz “Sprawa Oppenheimera” w reżyserii Władysława Krzemińskiego (premiera 5 czerwca 1966).

The thesis took the issue of the German documentary drama in the 60s of the twentieth century, referring to three examples: “The Deputy” by Rolf Hohchhutha, "In the Matter of J. Robert Oppenheimer" by Heinar Kippphardt and "The Investigation" by Peter Weiss. It discussed the main assumptions of trend, pointing to its heterogeneous nature, caused by the different treatment of documentary material by authors, which forms the basis of their dramas. By references to the reports and critical judgments of the press, it was made the description of the Polish realization indicated dramas. The thesis presented differences in the reception of Polish and German audiences and gave the reasons for them, which include, among others, different political situation in both countries, historical factors or literary tradition. In this thesis were used the following examples of adaptations: "The Deputy" at the National Theatre, directed by Kazimierz Dejmek (premiered April 16, 1966) and at Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow, directed by Dejmek and Mirosław Wawrzyniak (premiered January 19, 1967); "Investigation" directed by Erwin Axer at the Modern Theatre in Warsaw (premiered June 6, 1966) and "In the Matter of J. Robert Oppenheimer" by Władysław Krzemiński (premiered June 5, 1966).
