Daily life-paths of the students of Cracow universities

Praca ta jest próbą zbadania aktywności przestrzennej studentów trzech krakowskich uczelni wyższych: Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej oraz Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego. Badanie zostało oparte na badaniu ankietowym, stworzeniu bazy danych, opracowaniu statystycznym tejże bazy oraz próbie analizy wyników w dwóch częściach. W pierwszej uzyskane wyniki pozwoliły na określenie obszarów największej aktywności studentów w rozbiciu na poszczególne czynności, a także na zlokalizowaniu obszarów bardziej i mniej „popularnych”. Z kolei w drugiej części analiza obejmuje ustalenie czasu przeznaczanego na te czynności z podziałem na dni powszednie i weekendy, przeciętny czas wykonywania danej czynności, popularność form spędzania czasu wolnego oraz subiektywną ocenę i potrzeby studentów w zakresie możliwości spędzania i realnego wykorzystania czasu wolnego.

This paper is an attempt to examine the spatial activity of students of three universities in Cracow: Jagiellonian University, the University of Science and Technology and the University of Economics. The study was based on a questionnaire survey, database creation, statistical study of that database and statistical analysis of test results in two stages. First, the results allowed us to identify most visible areas of students activity (analyzing the various activities), as well as locating areas more and less "popular". The second part of the analysis includes the identification of time spent on these activities divided into weekdays and weekends, the average time of performing each activity, the popularity of leisure activities, and a subjective assessment and the needs of students in the field of leisure and real leisure activity.
