master
The foreign language teaching refers to practices and theories that have a long history. This area of human activity, like many others, is susceptible to changes and social evolution. Today, the internationalization of the labor market, supported by the development of communication technologies, leads to an increased demand for trainings in foreign languages. This demand has led to development of new teaching practices addressed to younger and younger audience. Although bilingual classes are already established, they are not numerous, so it is necessary to support development of the teaching languages commonly spoken in Europe and worldwide. However, becoming a citizen "of the world", it is not only about acquiring a new code of communication, we must also learn how to open up to other people and different cultures. Early teaching/learning of foreign languages seems to be the best way to achieve this goal, because "[the] period of openness to the world through the first language or mother tongue remains in the toddler until the age of about seven years and then disappears" (Weinrich 2000: 12). But questions arise: how to organize the teaching process to be effective? What knowledge and skills should have a good language teacher?pl
Jaką wiedzę i umiejętności powinien posiadać dobry nauczyciel języka?pl
