Niniejsza praca magisterska podejmuję tematykę realizacji założeń zawartych w Strategii Rozwoju Nowego Sącza 2020+ w kontekście zaspokajania potrzeb kulturalnych mieszkańców Nowego Sącza. W pierwszym rozdziale pracy zostały przedstawione: pojęcia kultury oraz polityki kulturalnej, zagadnienia systemu kultury, strategii rozwoju miasta oraz miasta jako przestrzeni kultury, a także problematyka uczestnictwa w kulturze. Drugi rozdział koncentruje się na charakterystyce oferty kulturalnej Nowego Sącza oraz analizie realizacji Strategii Rozwoju Nowego Sącza 2020+ w kontekście realizacji zawartych w niej zadań. Ostatni rozdział skupia się na badaniach w formie ankiety, mających na celu uzyskanie opinii mieszkańców na temat oferty kulturalnej Nowego Sącza.

This thesis pertains to the topic of realisation of the assumptions included in the governmental program called “The Strategy of Development for Nowy Sacz in 2020+” with regards to meeting the cultural needs of inhabitants of Nowy Sacz. The first chapter of the thesis contains definitions of culture itself, the cultural policy as well as the key issues of culture, the developmental strategy of the town, Nowy Sacz itself as a cultural space and problematic aspects of participating in culture. The second chapter is focused on the profile of the cultural overture of Nowy Sacz. It also contains the analysis of the realisation of the program called “The Strategy of Development for Nowy Sacz in 2020+” with regards to the realisation of the assumptions listed in the program. The last chapter shows the research in the form of a survey. The survey was aimed to gain general opinion of the inhabitants of Nowy Sacz about the cultural facilities of the town.
