Dualism of the image of the Siege of Budapest in the Hungarian literature on the basis of work by Gyula Háy, Béla Illés and Sándor Márai.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie i uzasadnienie zagadnienia dwoistości obrazu oblężenia Budapesztu w 1945 roku. Zagadnienie to zostało poddane szczegółowej analizie w odniesieniu do twórczości literatów węgierskich: Gyuli Háya, Béli Illésa oraz Sándora Máraiego. Praca przedstawia przede wszystkim omówienie wybranych utworów oraz szczegóły biograficzne z życia autorów, będące niejako uzasadnieniem danego postrzegania zjawiska. Dwa pierwsze rozdziały prezentują sposób literackiego ujęcia oblężenia przed 1989 rokiem, trzeci natomiast przedstawia obrazowanie tego wydarzenia historycznego po upadku władzy komunistycznej.

The aim of this thesis is to present and substantiate the issue of the duality of the Siege of Budapest in 1945. This issue is analyzed in detail in relation to the works of Hungarian writers: Gyula Háy, Béla Illés and Sándor Márai. The thesis presents a discussion of selected works and biographical details from the life of the authors, which is kind of justification for the perception of the phenomenon. The first two chapters present ways of the literary scene of the siege before 1989, while a third shows the imaging of this historical event after the collapse of communist power.
