Experience of the loneliness in Riverside songs

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza doświadczenia samotności w wybranych utworach zespołu Riverside. Pierwszą część pracy stanowi krótkie wprowadzenie w twórczość grupy. Omówiono reprezentowany przez zespół gatunek muzyczny oraz biografię zespołu. Następnie poddano analizie wybrane teksty Riverside pod kątem znajdujących się w nich obrazów samotności. Skupiono się na cechach charakterystycznych samotności, jej przyczynach, a szczególnie braku autentycznej bliskości, stanach jej towarzyszących a także sposobach ucieczki przed samotnością. W kolejnej części zawarta została refleksja na temat piosenki jako wyznania i jej działania terapeutycznego.Opracowanie zawiera teksty piosenek oraz ilustracje, dołączono do niej również nagrania omawianych piosenek w formacie audio, a także wideo. Ważnym elementem pracy jest jej warstwa wizualna.

This thesis aims to analyse the experience of loneliness in selected songs by the band Riverside. The first part of the study is a brief introduction to the group's work. The musical genre represented by the band and the band's biography are discussed. Then, selected lyrics are analysed in terms of the experience of loneliness they contain. The focus is on the characteristics of loneliness, its causes, in particular the lack of true intimacy, the states that accompany it, and the methods of escaping loneliness. The next part contains a reflection on the song as a confession and its therapeutic effect.The study includes the lyrics and graphics, as well as recordings of the songs and videos. An important element of the study is its visual layer.
