Praca Teatralizacja w rytuale uzdrawiania, czyli praktyki podlaskich szeptuch dotyczy współczesnej medycyny ludowej praktykowanej na Podlasiu przez tamtejsze uzdrowicielki zwane szeptuchami. Analizie zostają poddane poszczególne etapy rytuału leczenia. Ze szczególną uwagą autorka pracy bada ich uteatralizowane elementy (powtarzajacy się „scenariusz”, gesty, słowa itp.). W rozprawie autorka wykorzystuje, obok dostępnej literatury, także własne wywiady z „pacjentami” oraz korzysta z własnych obserwacji dotyczących procesu uzdrawiania. W ostatnim rozdziale wskazane zstają teatralne inspiracje związane z praktyką szeptuch (szczególne miejsce zajmuje analiza spektaklu Wziołowstąpienie Teatru Wierszalin).

This paper Dramatization in the healing ritual that is the practice of szeptuchy from Podlasie concerns contemporary folk medicine practiced by healers called folk healers (szpetuchy) on the Podlasie land. The analysis comprises various stages of the healing ritual. The author examines theatrical elements (repetitive “script", gestures, words, etc.) with particular attention. In the trial the author is exploiting, besides available literature, also own interviews with patients and using personal observation concerning the healing process. In the last chapter the author indicates drama inspiration from folk healer’s practices (analysis is based mainly on the performance Wziołowstąpienie of Wierszalin Theatre).
