My thesis develops the theme of existential experience, during the period of Italian Risorgimento, based on the autobiographical writings of Giuseppe Garibaldi and Silvio Pellico. The thesis analyzes the differences between the two works, and on its basis, examines the differences between their personalities in the light of the era.In the introduction to the work is outlined a brief history of the autobiographical writings of the Romantic period.The first chapter elaborates on the autobiographical writings. The second, focuses on the analysis of both literary texts.

La mia tesi di laurea breve svolge il tema dell'esperienza esistenziale, durante il Risorgimento italiano, basato sugli scritti autobiografici di Giuseppe Garibaldi e di Silvio Pellico. La mia tesi analizza le differenze tra le due opere, e grazie a quest'analisi, esamina le differenze tra i due autori alla luce dell'epoca.Nell'introduzione alla tesina è svolta una breve storia di scritti autobiografici durante il Romanticismo.Il primo capitolo sviluppa la questione di scritti autobiografici. Il secondo invece svolge un'analisi di entrambi i testi letterari.
