The Life and Death of Grigory Rasputin in the light of the Polish press of 1917-1930

Publikacja pod tytułem Życie i śmierć Grigorija Rasputina w świetle polskiej prasy 3lat 1917-1930 opisała fenomen Rasputina na podstawie polskich mediów początku XX wieku. Badania dotyczyły postrzegania Rasputina przez ludzi oraz wykreowania jego osoby przez media. Praca nawiązuje do czasów jego dzieciństwa, życia rodzinnego i członków rodziny. Artykuły informują także o jego religijnych zainteresowaniach i wędrówkach, na których głosił Słowo Boże. Ostatecznie trafił na dwór cara Mikołaja II, gdzie stał się bliski rodzinie carskiej, przez uzdrowienie carewicza Aleksego. Wkrótce zaczął mieć wpływ także na politykę. Przez swoje działanie zyskał sobie zwolenników i przeciwników. Źródła archiwalne, dotyczące sztuki, kultury i fotografii odniosły się również do jego wyglądu. Stał się on bohaterem wielu filmów, piosenek i sztuk teatralnych. W końcu prasa opisała zagładę tego tajemniczego człowieka, oraz skutki, jakie ta śmierć przyniosła. Rok 1917 w Rosji zaczął nową erę, gdyż skończyła się epoka carskiej Rosji. W pracy wykorzystano prasę polską początku XX wieku. Artykuły pochodzące z tych publikacji pozwoliły poznać opinię publiczną, jaka wówczas o nim panowała, a także poznać wiedzę tamtejszej ludności na temat jego życia.

The publication entitled The Life and Death of Grigory Rasputin in the light of the Polish press of 1917-1930 described the phenomenon of Rasputin on the basis of the polish media at the beginning of the 20th century. The research concerned the perception of Rasputin by people and his creation by the media. The document relates to his childhood, family life and family members. The articles also inform about his religious interests and journeys, on which he preached Word of the Lord. Finally, he arrived at the mansion of Tsar Nicholas II, where he became close to the tsar's family, through the healing of Tsarevich Alexei. He soon began to influence politics as well. Through his actions, he gained supporters and opponents. Archival sources of art, culture and photography also referred to its appearance. He became the hero of many films, songs and arts. In the end, the press described the destruction of this mysterious man and the consequences that his death brought about. The year 1917 in Russia began a new era, as the era of tsarist Russia ended. In the work was used a polish press from the beginning of the 20th century. Articles from these publications allowed to know the public opinion, which was about him at that time, as well as to learn about the knowledge of the local people about his life.
