Depictions of war in novels: Kratki izlet: zapisi iz domovinskog rata by Ratko Cvetnić and Ovce od gipsa by Jurica Pavičić

Głównym tematem pracy jest chorwacka literatura o wojnie domowej w latach dziewięćdziesiątych. Porównywane i analizowane są dwie powieści: Kratki izlet: zapisi iz Domovinskog rata Ratka Cvetnicia i Ovce od gipsa Juricy Pavičicia. Jednym z zamierzeń pracy jest nakreślenie wpólnych rysów wizji konfliktu. Głównym elementem porównywanym i opisywanym w pracy są obrazy wojny oraz postawy ich autorów, krytyczne wobec ideologii prowadzących do wojny. W pierwszej części pracy przedstawiona jest geneza i przebieg wojny domowej w latach dziewięćdziesiątych. Rozdział skoncentrowany jest głównie na okolicznościach wybuchu konfliktu oraz sytuacji Chorwacji. W drugiej części pracy zawarte jest przedstawienie autorów i ich osiągnięć artystycznych, a także wprowadzenie do treści omawianych powieści. Trzecia część pracy zawiera komparatystyczną analizę obu powieści. Porównywane są w niej elementy takie jak: język i sposoby przekazu, kreacja bohaterów, stosunek autorów do wojny i państwa.

The main topic of the work is the Croatian literature of the civil war in the nineties. Two novels are being compared and analyzed: Kratki izlet: zapisi iz Domovinskog rata by Ratko Cvetnić and Ovce od gipsa by Jurica Pavičić. One of the intentions of the work is to describe the common features of the vision of the conflict. The main elements that are compared and described in the work are images of war and the attitudes of their authors, critical of ideologies leading to war. The first part of the work presents the genesis and course of the civil war in the nineties. The chapter focuses on the circumstances of the outbreak of the conflict and the situation in Croatia. The second part of the work includes the presentation of the authors and their artistic achievements, as well as the introduction to the content of the discussed novels. The third part of the work contains a comparative analysis of both novels. It compares elements such as language and ways of communication, creation of characters, authors' attitude to war and the state.
