Memory management of the artist on the example of the cultural route "Intimate Portrait - Krakow route in the footsteps of Tadeusz Kantor"

Zarządzanie pamięcią mieści się na pograniczu nauk humanistycznych oraz ekonomicznych i dotyczy pamięci zbiorowej, która dzięki procesom materializacji i instytucjonalizacji staje się treścią uporządkowanego przekazu kulturowego. Pamięć kulturowa gwarantuje członkom grupy poczucie tożsamości, wykorzystując w tym celu media pamięci o charakterze symbolicznym. Medium takim mogą być miejsca pamięci połączone w szlak kulturowy, także szlak biograficzny stanowiący temat niniejszej pracy. Przedmiotem rozważań w podjętych badaniach jest miejsce Tadeusza Kantora, reżysera teatralnego i malarza, który odegrał kluczową rolę w życiu artystycznym Krakowa XX wieku, w pamięci kulturowej. W pracy zaproponowano projekt biograficznego szlaku miejskiego Tadeusza Kantora oraz zanalizowano jego skuteczność jako metody zarządzania pamięcią o artyście.

Memory management is located on the border between the humanities and economics and refers to the collective memory, which, thanks to the processes of materialization and institutionalization becomes the content of an orderly transfer of cultural heritage. Cultural memory ensures members of the group a sense of identity, using the storage media of a symbolic nature. That kind of medium can be places of remembrance connected in the cultural route or the biographical one constituting the subject of this study. The subject of the considerations in the undertaken studies is the place Tadeusz Kantor, theater director and painter who played a key role in the artistic life of Krakow twentieth century, in the cultural memory. In this work is presented the project of biographical city trail of Tadeusz Kantor and its effectiveness as a method of memory management on the artist is proposed.
