The Constitutional Position of the President of the United States of America

The master's thesis presents the constitutional position of the President of the United States of America. The thesis discusses the whole institution of the President, beginning from the origin of the executive, that is from adoption of the Constitution in 1787. Next, it presents the election process, which is the compromise between direct and indirect election, and between federal and states powers. The thesis also contains presidential functions discussion, which is focused on the Chief Executive tasks, Commander-In-Chief tasks, and his foreign affairs powers. It shows an outline of the President's relations with the legislative branch and judicial branch. The thesis closes with impeachment discussion and with three the most known commencements of impeachment proceedings.

Praca magisterska przedstawia pozycję ustrojową Prezydenta Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki. Praca omawia całość instytucji Prezydenta, zaczynając od genezy egzekutywy, czyli od powołania Konstytucji w 1787 roku. Następnie, dokonuje prezentacji procesu wyborczego, który jest kompromisem między wyborami bezpośrednimi i pośrednimi oraz władzą federacji i stanów. Praca zawiera również omówienie funkcji prezydenckich, które skupiają się wokół wykonywania zadań Szefa Administracji, Naczelnego Dowódcy Sił Zbrojnych oraz organu właściwego w sprawach zagranicznych. Ukazuje też zarys relacji z władzą ustawodawczą i sądowniczą. Pracę zamyka omówienie instytucji impeachmentu oraz trzy, najbardziej znane, przykłady wszczęcia procedury impeachmentu.
