Analiza porównawcza techniki narracyjnej monologu wewnętrznego na podstawie tekstów: Leutnant Gustl Arthura Schnitzlera i Otchłani Kazimierza Przerwy-Tetmajera

Comparative analysis of the narrative technique of the inner monologue based on the texts: Leutnant Gustl by Arthur Schnitzler and Otchłań by Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza techniki narracyjnej monologu wewnętrznego na podstawie dwóch prozatorskich tekstów: noweli Leutnant Gustl autorstwa Arthura Schnitzlera oraz powieści o tytule Otchłań napisanej przez Kazimierza Przerwę-Tetmajera. Oba teksty zostały opublikowane w 1900 roku i reprezentują rozwijającą się formę narracji monologu wewnętrznego w okresie przełomu wieków. Pomysł zestawienia owych autorów – austriackiego pisarza, reprezentanta wiedeńskiego modernizmu z przedstawicielem Młodej Polski – ma na celu pokazanie możliwości zastosowania techniki narracyjnej monologu wewnętrznego zarówno w niemieckiej, jak i polskiej literaturze przełomu wieków. Ponadto analizie podlega również wzajemne oddziaływanie poruszanych w obu utworach tematów i zastosowanego do ich opisania monologu wewnętrznego.Analizę uzupełniają informacje o obu pisarzach i ich pracy nad omawianymi tekstami. Wyjaśnione zostaje także literaturoznawcze pojęcie monologu wewnętrznego. Główny nacisk położony został na analizę porównawczą obu tekstów. Brane są pod uwagę różne aspekty, takie jak styl językowy, opis charakteru protagonistów oraz ich postawy, które prezentują pod koniec obu utworów. Omówione zostały również tematy poruszone w obu tekstach – wraz z ich podobieństwami i różnicami.

The main topic of this work is the analysis of the narrative technique of the inner monologue based on the texts: Leutnant Gustl written by Arthur Schnitzler and Otchłań written by Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer. Both texts were published in 1900 and represent the evolving form of the inner monologue narrative at the turn of the century. The idea of bringing together these authors – the Austrian writer of the Viennese Modernism and the representative of the Young Poland movement – aims to show that the inner monologue is applied in both German and Polish literature of the turn of the century. Additionally, the mutual influence of the themes of the texts and the narrative technique of the inner monologue has been proven. The analysis is supplemented by information about both writers and their work on the discussed texts. The literary meaning of the inner monologue is also explained. The focus of the work is on the comparative analysis of the two texts. Various aspects are taken into account, such as language style, characterization of the protagonists, and their attitudes at the end of the texts. The themes mentioned in the texts are also presented – the aim is to show the similarities and differences between them

Der Schwerpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die Analyse der Erzähltechnik des inneren Monologs anhand der Prosatexte: der Novelle Leutnant Gustl von Arthur Schnitzler und des Romans Otchłań von Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer. Die beiden Texte wurden 1900 veröffentlicht und repräsentieren die sich in der Zeit der Jahrhundertwende entwickelnde Erzählform des inneren Monologs. Die Idee, diese Autoren – den österreichischen Schriftsteller der Wiener Moderne und den Vertreter des Jungen Polens – zusammenzustellen, hat Folgendes zum Ziel: aufzeigen, dass der innere Monolog sowohl in der deutschen als auch in der polnischen Literatur der Jahrhundertwende Anwendung findet. Außerdem wird auch der gegenseitige Einfluss der Thematik der Texte und der Erzähltechnik des inneren Monologs überprüft, Die Analyse wird durch die Informationen über die beiden Schriftsteller und ihre Arbeit an den besprochenen Texten ergänzt. Dabei wird auch die literaturwissenschaftliche Bedeutung des inneren Monologs erklärt.In der Arbeit wird der Fokus auf die Vergleichsanalyse der beiden Texte gelegt. Es werden einige Aspekte in Betracht gezogen, wie beispielsweise der Sprachstil, die Charakterisierung der Protagonisten sowie ihre Haltung am Ende der Texte. Es werden auch die behandelnden Themen der Werke dargestellt – es handelt sich darum, die Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede der besprochenen Texte aufzuzeigen.
