60 years of "Mazowsze" State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble. The history and the present.

The M.A. thesis provides a comprehensive description of the Mazowsze State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble, including its history, contemporary activity, and short personal profiles of its founders: Tadeusz Sygietyński and Mira Zimińska. Within the scope of the thesis, there is also a comparative analysis of the original materials from Oskar Kolberg's collections and the scores of several selected pieces from the repertoire of the group. In the third chapter, there is a detailed description of the concert, which took place in 2008 to commemorate sixty years of the existence of the group. The concert is analyzed with regard to music, stage and choreographic features. Furthermore, the thesis contains two interviews with two people closely related to the ensemble: Jacek Kalinowski – the present director general of the group and Witold Zapała – its choreographer. Finally, in the appendix of the thesis, a list of all pieces from the Mazowsze's repertoire has been provided.

Praca zawiera ogólną charakterystykę Państwowego Zespołu Ludowego Pieśni i Tańca "Mazowsze", z uwzględnieniem jego historii, współczesnych realiów i krótką charakterystyką sylwetek założycieli zespołu Tadeusza Sygietyńskiego i Miry Zimińskiej. Praca zawiera również analizę porównawczą materiału oryginalnego pochodzącego ze zbiorów Oskara Kolberga i partyturą kilku wybranych utworów z repertuaru zespołu. W trzecim rozdziale został szczegółowo opisany pod względem muzycznym jak i koncepcji scenicznej i choreograficznej koncert jubileuszowy, jaki odbył się w 2008 roku z okazji 60-lecia istnienia Zespołu. Praca zawiera również wywiady z dwoma osobami blisko związanymi z Zespołem: Jackiem Kalinowskim - obecnym dyrektorem Zespołu i Witoldem Zapałą - choreografem Zespołu. Ponadto w Aneksie został umieszczony wykaz utworów z repertuaru "Mazowsza".
