Abstract in English
This article presents logistics as scientific specialization set between different disciplines and scientific areas. Logistics should be treated as interdisciplinary field of science derived from the roots of technical, economic and military sciences. The text describes development phases of logistics and importance of logistics in today’s economy. The material illustrates and emphasis role of logistics in modern management. Subsequent chapters discuss the place of logistics to other sciences and suggest how logistics should use the potential and achievements of other sciences. Against this background author suggest broader reflection and discussion about the identity of logistics in academic with particular emphasis on the interdisciplinary nature of logistics.
