No right of return – old age in the work of Czesław Miłosz’s

Motywem przewodnim niniejszej pracy jest starość widziana oczami Starego Poety - Czesława Miłosza. Starość ta pojmowana jest jako przejście "na drugą stronę", a śmierć jest kolejnym etapem apokatastasis. Miłosz, zwłaszcza w podeszłym wieku upomina się o pamięć o minionych pokoleniach i wydarzeniach, dowodząc, że tylko dzięki pamięci jesteśmy w stanie zachować nasz ludzki wymiar. Z drugiej strony Miłosz stara się przedstawić inne aspekty starości - ból ciała, niedołężność, a także zagadnienie erotyzmu u ludzi starszych.

The leitmotif of this work is to old age through the eyes of the Old Poet - Czeslaw Milosz. Old age is conceived as a passage "the other side", and death is the next step apokatastasis. Milosz, especially in the elderly stands up for the memory of past generations and events, arguing that only through memory, we are able to keep our human dimension. On the other hand, Milosz is trying to introduce other aspects of aging - body pain, infirmity, and the issue of eroticism in the elderly.
