W niniejszej pracy udowodniono tezę, iż dziennikarstwo obywatelskie jest jednym z przykładów rozwoju nowych mediów. Citizen journalism reprezentuje te same cechy, co nowe media, czyli: reprezentacje numeryczną, modularność, automatyzacje, wariacyjność i transkodowanie kulturowe. Oprócz wielu przykładów potwierdzających istnienie powiązań między zjawiskiem dziennikarstwa oddolnego, a nowymi mediami zaprezentowano dwa polskie serwisy, na których dziennikarze-amatorzy mogą publikować stworzone przez siebie treści. Są to strony internetowe: MMOpole.pl oraz Wiadomości24.pl.W rozdziale pierwszym przybliżono główne definicje, teorie i cechy nowych mediów według min. Lva Manovicha i Zbigniewa Baumana. Swoje miejsce znalazły tam również rozważania na temat nowych i starych mediów, ich mediamorfoz oraz nowej tożsamości w mediach elektronicznych.W drugim rozdziale przybliżono teorię zjawiska, jakim jest dziennikarstwo obywatelskie. Przedstawiono jego historię, teorię oraz wskazano znaczenie dziennikarstwa oddolnego w nauce o mediach. Dodatkowo rozdział ten zawiera rozważania o ochronie praw własności intelektualnej i zastosowaniu prawa prasowego na tego typu portalach.Rozdziały trzeci i czwarty zawiera informacje ogólne na temat wybranych przez autorkę niniejszej pacy serwisów MMOpole.pl i Wiadomości24.pl. Zamieszczono tam między innymi informacje o wydawcach, właścicielach, powiązaniach z innymi mediami oraz podstawowe zasady publikowania na stronie. Swoje miejsce znalazły tam również przykłady artykułów, publikowanych przez dziennikarzy – amatorów, które zostały wyróżnione na stronie głównej w danym dniu.W rozdziale piątym dokonano szczegółowej analizy porównawczej obu serwisów, w oparciu o podstawowe kryteria – porównanie w formie tabeli oraz opis wybranych przeze autorkę zagadnień: layoutów, kategorii, multimedialności, udostępniania treści, profilów użytkowników, a nawet regulaminów. We wszystkich powyższych rozdziałach starano się dowieść, iż dziennikarstwo obywatelskie, jest jednym z przykładów szybkiego rozwoju nowych mediów. Z całą pewnością rozwój ten wciąż trwa i wysoce prawdopodobne jest, że z rozwojem innowacyjnych technologii, dziennikarstwo obywatelskie również zmieni formę, jaką możemy zaobserwować w dniu dzisiejszym.

Citizen jurnalism represents the same feautures as a new media, that is numeric presentation, motularity, automations, variations and culture transcoding. Except many examples confirming the existence of links between the phenomenon of grassroots journalism, and new media presented two plish services, on which amator jurnalists can publish content created by themself. These are the internet websites. MMOpole.pl and Wiadomosci24.pl In the first chapter brought closer to the main definitions, theories and features of new media by Lwa Manovicha i Zbigniewa Baumana. Its place there were also a reflection on the new and old media, their mediamorphosis and a new identity in the electronic media. In the second chapter brought closer to the theory phenomenon of citizen journalism. Presents its history, theory, and pointed out the importance of grassroots journalism in the study of media. In addition, this chapter includes a discussion on the protection of intellectual property rights and the use of the press law on such portals.
