Celem pracy magisterskiej było przedstawienie procesu łączenia się spólek kapitałowych. Przedstawiono w pracy tryb krajowy oraz transgraniczny łączenia się spółek. Ważną częścią pracy było przedstawienie zasady sukcesji uniwersalnej oraz wynikających z niej skutków. Przedmiotem analizy było ustalenie, czy zawsze sukcesja uniwersalna z kodeksu spółek handlowych jest wyłącznie sukcesją w jej klasycznym rozumieniu, czy też powinna być utożsamiana z zasadą kontynuacji. Wyjaśniono czym jest zasada kontynuacji i jaka jest jej relacja do zasady sukcesji uniwersalnej. Przedstawiono skutki następstwa prawnego.
