Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest porównanie oryginału książki Andrzeja Stasiuka „Dojczland” z jej tłumaczeniem na język niemiecki dokonanym przez Olafa Kühla. W teoretycznej części przedstawiona została historia powstania książki, jak też problematyka przyporządkowania jej do konkretnego gatunku literackiego. Osobny rozdział poświęcony został Olafowi Kühlowi - tłumaczowi polskiej literatury. Analiza porównawcza wyróżnia dwa aspekty - wizualny (okładka) oraz merytoryczny. W oryginale i tłumaczeniu porównane zostały: zdrobnienia, wulgaryzmy, cytaty w innych językach, fonetyczne zapisy słów, jak i polska i niemiecka gramatyka. Poprzedzający wnioski rozdział traktuje o recepcji „Dojczland” w Niemczech i w Polsce.

The aim of the master thesis is to compare the original "Dojczland" by Andrzej Stasiuk and the translation of the book into German by Olaf Kühl. The theoretical part presents the genesis of the book as well as the problem of the assignment of this book to a literary genre. A separate chapter is dedicated to the translator of the Polish literature - Olaf Kühl. The analysis differentes between the visual dimension (cover) and the content. This part is done with a view on the following translation problems: diminutive forms, vulgarisms, quotations in other languages, phonetic transcript and Polish versus German grammar. The introductory part of the conclusion is the analysis of the reception of the book in Poland and in Germany.

Das Ziel der Masterarbeit ist der Vergleich zwischen dem Original „Dojczland“ von Andrzej Stasiuk und der Übersetzung des Buches ins Deutsche von Olaf Kühl. Im theoretischen Teil der Arbeit werden die Entstehungsgeschichte des Textes wie auch die Problematik der Zuordnung dieses Buches zur literarischen Gattung dargestellt. Ein separates Kapitel ist dem Übersetzer der polnischen Literatur Olaf Kühl gewidmet. Die Analyse unterscheidet zwischen dem Visuellen (Umschlag) und dem Inhaltlichen und wird mit dem Blick auf folgende Übersetzungsprobleme durchgeführt: Diminutivformen, Vulgarismen, Zitate in anderen Sprachen, phonetische Niederschrifter und polnische versus deutsche Grammatik. Der die Schlussfolgerungen einleitende Teil bildet die Analyse der Rezeption des Buches in Polen und in Deutschland.
