Political discourse of Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande.

Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej było zaprezentowanie dyskursu obserwując jego ewolucję na przestrzeni wieków, ale skupiając się przede wszystkim na dyskursie politycznym. W pierwszej części pracy zaprezentowano różne definicje dyskursu, które pozwalają zrozumieć złożoność tego pojęcia, które posiada wiele różnych aspektów. Omówiono początki dyskursu, które wiążą się z Retoryką Arystotelesa, a także rozwój dyskursu, na który wpłynęła nowa retoryka Perelmana. W następnej części zaprezentowano różne definicje dyskursu politycznego, który stanowi motyw przewodni pracy. Możemy tu także odnaleźć zjawisko obserwowane w językoznawstwie, które nazywane jest językiem propagandy politycznej. Ostatnia część została poświęcona analizie języka polityki, którym posługiwali się Nicolas Sarkozy i François Hollande w swoich przemówieniach, które odbyły się w czasie kampanii prezydenckiej we Francji w 2012 roku.

The purpose of present M.A. thesis was to present discourse and its development over the centuries as well as a political discourse. In the first part of thesis we can find different definitions of discourse which enable to understand complexity of this notion which consists of many various aspects. We can find here beginnings of discourse which involve Rhetoric of Aristotle and also the development of discourse that was influenced by the new rhetoric of Perelman. In the next part, we can observe different definitions of political discourse which is the theme of this thesis. It is also possible to see here a phenomenon in linguistics known as language of political propaganda. The last part of thesis was devoted to analysis of political language which was represented by Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande in their speeches, which were held during the presidential campaign in France in 2012.

Le but de ce mémoire est de présenter le discours et son développement au fil du temps. Dans la première partie, nous retrouverons différentes définitions du discours présententant sa complexité, car le discours peut être analysé sous différents aspects. Nous y retrouverons les origines du discours en étudiant la rhétorique d’Aristote et la théorie de Perelman introduisant la nouvelle rhétorique en linguistique Dans la partie suivante, nous observerons les définitions du discours politique qui est le leitmotiv de ce mémoire. De plus, nous y trouverons une description d’un phénomène en liguistique récurrent qui s’appelle la langue de bois. Enfin, la troisième partie est consacrée à une analyse de discours de Nicolas Sarkozy et François Hollande qui ont eu lieu lors de la campagne présidentielle française en 2012.
