The stereotype of a Pole and a German in the Russian literature of the XIX century.

Tematem pracy jest Stereotyp Polaka i Niemca w literaturze rosyjskiej XIX wieku. Zagadnienie jest ciekawe z uwagi na fakt, iż stereotypy towarzyszyły ludziom od zawsze, a ich siła jest niezwykła i potrafi zarówno jednoczyć jak i podzielić ludzi. Praca ma na celu przede wszystkim zbadanie jakie czynniki wpływają na powstanie stereotypu narodowego, oraz czy jest on trwały i niezmienny. Pierwszy rozdział dostarcza informacji na temat samej definicji stereotypu oraz jego funkcji i struktur, ze szczególnym uwzlędnieniem stereotypu etnicznego. W drugim rozdziale pracy ostały przytoczone przykłady stereotypowego kreowania obrazu obcokrajowców, a konkretnie Polaków i Niemców, na podstawie wybranych dzieł literackich, wielkich pisarzy rosyjskich. Trzeci rozdział poświęcony jest mechanizmowi powstania stereotypu i jakie niesie za sobą konsekwencje.

The subject of the work is the stereotype of a Pole and a German in Russian literature of the 19th century. The issue is interesting due to the fact that stereotypes have always accompanied people, and their strength is extraordinary and can both unite and divide people. The aim of the work is primarily to investigate what factors influence the emergence of a national stereotype, and whether it is permanent and unchanging. The first chapter provides information on the very definition of the stereotype and its functions and structures, with particular emphasis on the ethnic stereotype. In the second chapter of the work, examples of the stereotypical image of foreigners, namely Poles and Germans, on the basis of selected literary works of great Russian writers are cited. The third chapter is devoted to the mechanism of the emergence of a stereotype and its consequences.
