This article delves into Guangzhou's Museum of Peasant Movement Institute, exploring its role in shaping a collective narrative. Analyzing the permanent exhibition, the study unravels intertwined themes of patriotism and socialism, Mao Zedong's prominence, and values endorsed by the Communist Party of China. It investigates how the museum, deeply rooted in communist heritage, contributes to the national identity and party legitimacy. The analysis extends to Guangdong's revolutionary past. Employing discourse and visual analysis, the study deconstructs the museum's narrative, addressing key research questions on the museum's narrative and aims.
