The inhabitants and nature of the Aegean (Sea) region in the short stories of Halikarnas Balıkçısı

Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie mieszkańców i przyrody regionu Morza Egejskiego na podstawie opowiadań Halikarnasa Balıkçısı, jako dwóch nierozerwalnie związanych elementów, które przeplatają się i wzajemnie na siebie oddziałują. To właśnie morze łączy ludzi ze światem przyrody. Akcja opowiadań najczęściej rozgrywa się w nadmorskich miejscowościach, gdzie zostały opisane losy marynarzy, rybaków, poławiaczy gąbek i kobiet. W historie bohaterów wplata się różnorodność fauny i flory tego regionu. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów dotyczących śmierci na morzu, kobiet i przyrody w regionie Morza Egejskiego. Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı powszechnie znany pod swoim pseudonimem artystycznym jako Halikarnas Balıkçısı był pisarzem, dzięki któremu Bodrum – kiedyś mała wioska rybacka – stało się jednym z najbardziej popularnych kierunków wakacyjnych na mapie Turcji.

The aim of this work is to elaborate the inhabitants and nature of the Aegean (Sea) region, based on the stories of Halikarnas Balıkçısı, as two inextricably linked elements that intertwine and influence each other. It is the sea that connects people with the nature. The stories mainly take place in seaside towns, where the fate of the sailors, fishermen, sponge divers and women is described. The characters' stories feature the diversity of the region's fauna and flora. The work consists of three chapters, which covers the concerns of death at sea, women and nature in the Aegean region.Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, known as Halikarnas Balıkçısı, became the reason for popularity of Bodrum – once a small fishing village - and today's great tourist attraction in Turkey.
